Sleeps 1-2The Secret Cabin 2 Miles Into the Woods
For years, guests exploring Big Rock Creek by golf cart or on foot have caught glimpses of a cabin deep in the woods — half-legendary, always just out of reach. After years in the making, it's finally open, and you can be one of the first to stay.
This is not a drive-up cabin. It sits roughly 2 miles into the forest, reached by the Polaris Ranger EV provided for your stay, winding through trees until the view opens up over the Big Rock Creek valley below. That drive is part of the experience — it's the moment reality starts to fall away.
A Real Disconnect
There's no Wi-Fi. No TV. Cell service is spotty at best. If you've ever wanted a true reset — something close to a darkness retreat, minus the darkness — this is it. Days here move at the pace of a fire crackling, birds overhead, and not much else.
Rustic, Not Roughing It Alone
We won't hide the ball: this cabin runs on propane power and propane heat, water comes from a hand pump well, and the bathroom is an old-school privy — no indoor plumbing. There's no shower on-site. What there is: a genuinely comfortable queen bed with a down comforter waiting for you at the end of the day, a stocked supply of firewood, a gas grill, and a mini fridge/freezer to keep things simple.
Think of it as: rough it on the plumbing, sleep like royalty on the bed.
All of Big Rock Creek, If You Want It
Here's the thing — you're not stranded. Your Polaris Ranger EV means the rest of Big Rock Creek's grounds and amenities are just a short drive away, including the campground bathhouse for a hot shower whenever you want one. Want to fully disconnect for three days straight? You can. Want to ease in and out of comfort while still getting the escape? You can do that too. The cabin doesn't force isolation on you — it just makes it available, completely, the moment you want it.
Perfect for: couples or solo travelers craving real quiet, guests who've wondered about this cabin on past visits, and anyone who wants a stay with a story behind it.
